With a history of supporting shooting sports and providing the highest quality pistols specifically designed for these sports, STI has now applied their design talent and dedication to quality to a sporting rifle.  What distinguishes this rifle from its competitors is the custom STI Valkyrie hand guard and gas block.  The hand guard is predrilled and tapped on the top and bottom with 1-inch hole spacing to accept JP rails.  Slots (both cosmetic and functional) with ½-inch centers enable you to use T-nuts to mount add-on side mounted rails at virtually any angle. The exclusive STI Valkyrie Tactical gas block features cosmetic design cuts to better match the STI hand guard, and it sports a Picatinny rail on the top.

The Sporting Rifle is available in two models:

• On the Competition model, the unique STI Valkyrie Competition hand guard is 12-inches in overall length to provide the competition shooter increased stability.  The STI Valkyrie Competition gas block is light weight, and it is concealed under the hand guard. 
   
• On the Tactical model, the hand guard is shorter with the STI Valkyrie Tactical Gas Block extending to the front.

Both models have an anodized, black Teflon coating to provide a durable, attractive finish that will hold up to even the most demanding shooting.
